I guess cryp actually is a function which will calculate hash value of password entered and here they are not storing password, they are storing hash value of password in database.

Hi,

I can't get the crypt part of the tut to work. It always returns 0 rows:$sql->execute($args{login_username},crypt($args{login_password},$args{login_username}));

but just parsing $args{login_password} does work. Any ideas what might be going wrong?
